Swan River RCMP, Swan River Fire Department and Shared Health Emergency Medical Services responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Hwy. No. 10 at the bridge over the Swan River on Tuesday afternoon (May 12). The collision was between a street cleaner and a semi pulling two tanks of anhydrous ammonia. The tanks were not observed to be damaged. The semi sustained significant damage to its front right side, and was no longer driveable. “The street cleaner appeared to have been pushed into the guard-rail on the bridge, sustaining damage to both the front and rear ends of the vehicle,” said Swan River RCMP Sergeant Steve Henson. Both drivers were brought to hospital with non-serious injuries. Alcohol and/or drug use is not believed to be a factor. An investigation continues.
