Thanking you for your Trust

It takes a village to raise a child is an African proverb that we are all familiar with. It indicates that an entire community of people must interact with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment.
Well, it also takes a village to support a newspaper. We require every single one of you to interact with us and support us in order to thrive.
I’m so happy to be able to say that the Swan River Valley has been the most supportive community that we could ask for and this has allowed us to continue to do the job that we love and to bring the news of our community to you each and every week.
A lot has changed in the news industry in the past decade and some consider newspapers all but dead. The truth is though, that we are still thriving, not just here at the Star and Times but especially at the Star and Times, all because of you.
Thank you to our subscribers that religiously renew their paper, often paying compliments to us and telling us just how much they enjoy our work every week. And, thank you to the readers who pick up copies on the many newsstands across the Valley. Whether it is every week, once a month or just once and a while, your support of us matters. Without you, we would have no purpose or direction.
Thank you to the people who give us a glimpse into their lives and their passions through interviews for each and every edition. Without you, we would have no stories to tell.
Thank you to our advertisers who continue to trust us to get their message out. You are such a very important part of what we do. Without you, we would not exist.
All of us here, at the Star and Times, are doing a job that we love and we thank you for allowing us to keep doing it day after day.
We want to continue to serve this community. We want to continue to celebrate with you in the good times and be able to report the facts when they can’t be found anywhere else.
We want to make a difference in our community, in your lives and in the lives of future generations.
Thank you for allowing us to do just that!
