For the past few weeks those who frequently travel the very east end of Ross Street as part of their daily commute have had to find an alternate route. Testing of the bypass system in preparation of the water distribution pump change out at the Town of Swan River lift station was taking place, forcing the Town to run a line across the roadway, therefore closing it to traffic. While this was just the testing phase, when the change out happens pumps in the reservoir will supply two hydrants with water in order to provide for the community’s consumption. The road was expected to be re-opened early this week after final tests were complete but it will close again near the end of September when construction is scheduled to occur. It is expected to be closed at that point for approximately four days. Notification will be provided to residents when dates are confirmed.
