I moved to the Valley in 2013 and fell in love with the community right away. Having grown up in Regina, Sask. I was automatically drawn to all the nature and beauty that surrounds the area. I spent two years playing sports at Notre Dame in Wilcox, Sask. and finished my graduating year at Archbishop M.C O'Neill in 2009. Soon after that I travelled and dabbled into different career paths getting my tattoo certificate and even doing freelance painting. When my parents moving here, I followed shortly after. I never had the chance to experience the rural life and small town living as I grew up but, after living here, I don’t ever want to go back to the city life. I started at Star and Times in June 2017 and have gotten to chance to talk with the many diverse people of the community. The friendly and supportive people of the Valley have welcomed me with open arms. Currently I spend a lot of my time working, hiking, camping and starting my online courses through ACC in Brandon for Anatomy and Physiology to start my career path as a Licensed Practical Nurse. In the meantime, I am looking forward to serving the community, helping and volunteering as much as possible.
