At 9:30 a.m. on Thursday (June 7), Swan River Fire Department (SRFD) along with PMH, EMS, and RCMP responded to a single vehicle rollover on Hwy. No. 83. “Upon arrival, a semi tractor-trailer unit was situated along the north ditch on its left side and had spilled its contents of hog fuel,” said SRFD Chief Darren Fedorchuk. A RCMP representative said that officers determined that the truck was taking the corner on to the Hwy. No. 10 South Bypass when one of the outside tires blew and caused the truck to roll over into the ditch. The driver of the truck, a 44-year-old male from Swan River, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Emergency personnel had that section of highway closed for approximately 35 minutes and Swan River RCMP continue to investigate the collision. Here, emergency crews find the semi on its side upon arrival.
